This is exactly what classic Italian dining is all about.
Their special antipasto platter was loaded with prosciuto, prosciutelo, melon, sopressata plus beef carpaccio, smoke salmon and shrimp.

The walleye was very very tasty and it was offered with a choice of different pastas including my personal favourite linguini with lemon and butter.
Calves liver grilled with extra onions was very good.
Tried the lasagna and the scampi too.

Panacotta for dessert to die for.
Interesting choice of wines.


Service was very attentive yet discreet

Traditional italian restaurant.
The Lasagna made according to a bologna recipe is to die for.
I suggest starting off with their antipasto platter that has 2 kinds of prosciuto and the dried italian sausage and 2 salami etc....very good way to begin.
Excellent importation selection for less than 50 dollars.
There is a small private room for private parties on the side.
Not a trendy place but nonetheless an excellent restuarant to go to
in the heart of Laval with plenty of free parking.

Every dish I ever had there always offered a choice of vegetables or pasta.
Giovanni is still theowner and MD, and Michele is still there are 20 years
and recently I found out Michael D is here now.

Please note that there is construction on the boulevard so to enter
pass by the COUCHE TARD entrance.

The swordfish was outstanding.
The penne with rapini, saugae and garlic was awesome.

The antipasto platter for 2 was exactly what I expect it to be.
Prosciuto, prosciutinno, salami, dried sausage a great way to begin.
You can add stuff to your platter like
carpaccio, shrimp, etc.

Lots of free parking.
Private room available for groups.
At the present time there is construction on cure labelle
so you will have to drive north until the COUCHE TARD
and cut through their parking
to get to the restaurant.

Wine imports very good value.

Restaurant Barolo contains two sections a restaurant and a private hall which are both managed by the same kitchen staff. The restaurant can seat 70 people while the private hall offers 60 -70spaces which and can be reserved for events such as wedding, birthday, confirmation, communion, baptism, Christmas parties, business meetings, etc. As well, the private hall has room for a DJ, animator or musician and contains its own private bar and private bathrooms.

Come and try this authentic Italian restaurant.

EXCELLENT, CHARMING, SUCCULENT! The waiters are always one step ahead of you. You will have the best Italian meal and night of your life! Everyone has to try this restaurant!

Attending this restaurant is a must! Once you try this cuisine, you wont want to go anywhere else, ever again. The Maitre D, Giovanni is oh so charming. He makes sure everything flows perfectly for your wonderful evening. I find the Italian cuisine the best in Laval and Montreal. Do not let location fool you, because in side everything is a charm.
