Bentley's Restaurant & Bar

Went there last night and the food was great. Something's changed for sure.
The table d'hotes menu looked good and the new filet mignon for 28$ is probably worth 40 in other places. The staff was friendly and i'm definetely going back.

The food was average but the waiter was rude, unfriendly and lacked manners.
He pointed, used hand gestures instead of words and screamed across the restaurant instead of approaching and asking his question up close.

If you're allergic to peanuts STAY AWAY from this place! It's crawling with peanuts at the bar. The staff have no clue about cross-contamination and are even insulting when asked about the peanuts. To the rude waiter who told me that Loblaw's also has peanuts... it's not the same issue. It's not enough to say that you don't use peanut oil. Learn about the very real dangers of cross-contamination, how customers and staff who handle the peanuts can leave traces of peanut residue all over the restaurant and perhaps even on your plates or food. No peanut-allergic person would eat at this place, but the staff still needs to show courtesy, understanding and allergy awareness to the people who come in to inquire. Very poor attitude. And really... are peanuts THAT important to customers at the bar??

With a great old-school and homey feel to the place, Bentley's Laval is one of the few restaurant hotspots to be definately checked out on your next visit to the Laval/Montreal Region. The staff are a group of hip, professional and fun-loving people who resemble more of a happy family than anything else. The food is incredible and reasonably priced, to go along with an affordable weekday lunch menu which is guaranteed to hit the tastes of even the pickiest eater. Happy hour is served Monday-Friday between 4PM and 7 PM and on weekends, stop by for a hearty early morning breakfast. In closing, Bentley's Laval sets the bar for the way every other restaurant SHOULD be.
